Title: Bahai claim on equality of the sexes
Allah'u'Abha,
According to bahaifaith.org, "the Bah' Faith is the only independent world religion whose Founder has stated unequivocally that women and men are equal." I was under the impression that Sikhs have also long believed and championed the equality of men and women. Am I mistaken in that impression, or is the qualifier that there was no equivocal statement by Guru Nanak, or is Sikhism not considered to be an independent religion? Thoughts anyone?
Thanks in advance,
Jeanne
