Has been for many years. There was also a BCCA list for the topic, but I don't think it has been active for 4-5 years. There is a Yahoo group on the topic. This is off the top of my head, but I'll bet that the committee was the result of activities by Floyd and Evelyn Hardin, long time Denver Baha'is, and editor and publishers of an international journal for the scholarly study of the topic. "International Language Review" (?) It promoted the idea of an international auxillary language and script, and was held in high regard by people like Hayakawa. I think Floyd died in the mid 60's, and then Evelyn moved to Evanston (?) about 1970 and served at the National Center for a number of years. Last I heard she was in a nursing home in the St. Louis area, but that was 7-8 years ago.
