As a former believer in reincarnation, I was never persuaded, as a new believer, by 
`Abdu'l-Baha's arguments against this doctrine. However, at the time, I made believe I 
did find them convincing, because I was afraid to say otherwise. ;-) 

Over my first few years as a Baha'i, I simply came to accept this teaching as a matter 
of faith. Nonetheless, it was one of my two greatest tests as a new Baha'i. (The other 
concerned psychism and astral projection.)
