I had wondered about this, as I could not see how we could prohibit all forms
of electioneering by non-Baha'is.  Without this proviso, I could see a
situation where anti-Baha'i forces could force a Baha'i to reject election by
openly campaigning *for* them.

I suspect several people have 'talked up' my candidacy this time; but it is
really irrelevant to the outcome since there were only 5 of us 'running' for 5 
positions.
