Dear Bill, 

Well, the short answer to your question is because Baha'u'llah said so. But 
95 is 5X19, both numbers have symbolic value in the Baha'i Faith. It is also 
close to 99 which is the number of the Names of God which Muslims recite. The 
100 name was said to be the Greatest Name which had yet to be revealed. So we 
just say the Greatest Name 95 times.
