There are a few technical differences between the vehicles that we have been
discussing here.

1. Elim has the entire starter drive mechanism immersed in oil & hence silk
smooth, but when it turned noisy... it was quite a shift from its normal
smooth

2. Pulsars depend on a dry system & hence are a bit noisy.

3. The Pulsars intially sported bush bearings inside the starter motor, but
now sport roller bearings.

4. Though the Pulsars sport a basic starter system, it is path breaking in
terms of its reliability & cost. An elim starter costed at least 3 times
that of a Pulsar Starter motor (had checked it abt 8 months ago) I guess
Deepak & Vamsi can go about it

Well the debate from all angles are just right... its a discussion between
present & future..... Its a discussion between being basic & getting
classy...

This is what makes people to put their thinking cap on & produce better
reasults.
