Dear Vijaya, First of all Sorry for this late reply Following are the tips for getting good fuel economy: 1.)Ride constanly between 50-55 Km/H. 2.)If you are living in high traffic cities like delhi,mumbai,ahmedabd,etc....... start for the work slightly early than pick hours so that you have to do braking and gear changes less. 3.)Filling good quality of fuel[POWER,SPEED,XTRA PREMIUM OR SHELL SUPER] 4.)Maintain air pressure according to owner's manual. 5.)If possible give the bike for service to bajaj service stations only. Why am I insisting this is bcoz, non bajaj service station people are THEIVES.They remove original parts of the bike like spark plugs,etc and fit duplicate plugs and to some extent CNG engine plugs. 6.)Fill company recomanded* engine oils.Like all the two whellers recomands* castrol. 7.)Give the bike for service at regular and proper intervals. 8.)Switiching off the engine at signals will save your fuel by approximately 2-3Lit. a day.Off the engine only when you know that you have to stop for more than 60 Sec. 9.)Avoid sudden harsh acceleration. 10.)Start the engine after 4-5 sec. after putting keys.If you are having digital console bike then start the bike only after RPM needle comes down to "0" after going to 12000 RPM. 11.)When you come near to signals close the accelerator before 10-15 secounds this also saves fuel.
