Hi Ericvasania, In a single cylinder engine the vibrations created by the engine due to the reciprocating movement of piston are more tthan multicylinders why ?? the answer is in multi cylinder the vibrations are damped by keeping the pistonns 180 deg appart in two cylinder enging to be simple .you can see the crank of these engines they have different timing that means all pistons dont fire at same timing. this gives more smoth engine. to dampen the vibration in single cylinder you have to use balancers in pulsar also you have these balancerswhich are offset. sir it is aproven fact.
have a nice day Jabbal ________________________________ From: ericvasania <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, 25 August, 2009 11:47:22 PM Subject: [bajajpulsar] Re: [OT] BABY NINJA AND MORE NEW BIKES Hello Jabbal, How can you justify your statement 'higher the capacity the more vibrations it will create' ? Compare the 125 - 180 cc's with the Karizma in that case and your statement is proved wrong right there. In case you intend to tell us that your statement applies to bikes over 225cc, then why dont you try out the KTM Duke 690? Its an awesome looking single cylinder 649cc bike as light as / lighter than the Pulsars and ZMA's at just 148kg. Check out the vibs, flickability, cornering, dense traffic racing - anything you can think of and then post back your updated views for a single cylinder 649cc bike.
