My experience has been different.

I had gone for teflon coating on my bike in 2003. Its been almost 7 years since
then and the bike painted still looks relatively new and glossy.

This is inspite of riding for 40k kms and daily washing with soap n water :)

Subject: Re: [Bajajpulsar] Teflon?

Hi all,

I once had to get some Aluminium components (work related) coated
with Teflon. When I got them back with the coating, the paint on the
reverse of the component had been completely burnt off, because of the
temperature involved in applying the Teflon. I then had to get them
repainted at a nearby garage.

Since then I have never bothered to even listen to some one selling
"Teflon Coating" for bike/car.

Regards,
Mudit
