BBG Baron Soire de Success Sir,   I have just visited JdE at the field hospital and as discussed explained the situation to him in words of one sylabol.  I think he took the hint and you should find his resignation on your desk in the very near future.    I have also met with EdT in the mess tent and understand he is quite eager for the opportunity of advancement.  Although I did not of course divulge anything of the sensitive details.  The idea of enlisting Dr Non's help has certainly paid dividends.    However, I realise that should JdE retire and you promote EdT he would no longer be eligible for the position of Brigade Major.  If you chose to also promote myself I would of course be honoured to be considered for the position.     Your aide   Captain JBD   (OOC JBD buys promotion if available.  JBD applies for Brigade Major if becomes Major.  I have already applied to be Adjutant if not promoted, although not if EdT is promoted and retains duty)
