regarding the protocol you had contravened and asked if I had any
documentary evidence to prove that you had, in fact, been fully aware of
it - which I provided. The Colonel now tells me that you are accusing him of
showing me your private letters. I have no knowledge whatsoever of the
letters in question - although given your recent conduct your ignorance of
the fact that gentlemen do not bandy such documents about comes as no
