Michel,
Thank for the bottle, I am sure that it will come in handy
the next time I visit Amy.
Do not worry about the bloodstains, it is not the first time
and certainly not that last time that I will have a few spots
on my uniform after an altercation. Though for once it was
not mine or that of a King's Musketeer (which is usually the
case). My manservant is at present out scrubbing the jacket
with a product that does miracles, or at least it better.

I have passed on the information to the two captains and they
wish you a speedy recovery.

What exactly happened, well we were at Fleur enjoying the
company of de Mylcandonai when M. Inzebox seemed to take offense
at you being there and asked you to step outside. Being the man
of honour that you are, you accepted and we went to the a small
side street.
You drew your rapier and assumed the En Garde position at which
point Inzebox produce this humongous pigsticker from beneath his
coat, mumbled something about 'there can be only one' and attacked
you. Well you tried you best to get inside his reach, but just as
you went forward to get under his swing he attempted a rather
good impression of a decapitation. Trouble was that it was you
that he was attempting to shorten by a few centimetres. Luckly
he missed in his attempt and cut you right across the torso.
You dropped like a stone with your lifeblood spurting in all
directions. M Inzebox seemed quite apologetic at this point, as
if he had mistaken you for someone else and helped me to stem
the worst. I sent Gerard to fetch a coach and bandaged you up
the best I could (which remends me, you owe Amy a new petticoat).
It was as the coach was approaching that I heard whistles off in
the distance. Realising that the CoPS men were approaching I had
to drag you off into hiding and then into the coach.
We went straight to Dr Recoudre who managed to sew up the worst
of your injuries. Gerard was most upset, saying that you were the
best master he had served under, hardly ever beat him, he said.
Well as soon as the good doctor said you could be moved, we got
you back to your appartments where we put you to bed.

Amy is most glad that you seem to be recovering, though she frets
over the same thing happening to me, not that I have to worry about
the King's Musketeers ever getting me in such a state, most of them
blanche and make their excuses when I draw my blade.

I must admit that it is not on, using such a weapon, definitly not
that of a gentleman. This sort of blade should be outlawed, I wonder
what the CoPS is going to do about it. Then again, being a KM, they
need all the help they can get I suppose.

Anyway, glad to hear that you are on the mend, you can buy me that
drink when you get back from the front. Take care of yourself out
there, you still have quite a few Musketeers to teach a lesson to.

All the best,
                Phil.
