Soldiers:
Thanks to the rapid reply from the Inspector General of the Infantry
(thank you BLG Chev. Jacques Inzebox) we know that I will be assuming
command of the First Foot Brigade. This leads to two obvious issues:
Firstly, the Brigade could use a Brigade Major....
Secondly, I need an Aide.

On the first item, I will accept applications from any Major's in the
Picardy Musketeers or 4th Foot. If the senior major is not interested, and
there is need of assistance in achieving promotion, please let me know
(with your Colonel's concurrance).

On the second item, while I will give preference to SubAlterns in those two
regiments, I do not see any worthy individuals in a brief reading of the
table of organization. As such, I will entertain application from any
Infantry subaltern. It seems to me that if I am to familiarize myself with
the Infantry, it would help if my aide were from that side of the
force. If none are forthcoming, next month I will widen the search further.

     Yours,
     Brigadier Baron Soire de Success
