Your Most Gracious Majesty,
On this momentous eve of the summoning of Your Majesty's great Armies; to
go forth to vanquish Your Majesty's enemies; I beseech Your Majesty to
look warmly upon this loyal servant and grant me back my honor which has
been stolen from me in a farce - that some dared call a trial.
I have served Your Majesty and La France in noted bravery upon the field
of battle and assure Your Majesty that I have been wrongly accused of
murder and seek justice, under your protection, so as to undo the
ungrounded title of 'murderer'; which has been heaped as an insult upon
this loyal officer of Your Majesty's Armies.
