To the esteemed Lt. Colonel Alan la Pointe, Royal Marines
Mon cher Alain

Forgive me, mon ami, for not coming to visit you sooner, but firghting has been fierce during this last month. Nevertheless, the glorious Grand Duke Max Dragoons - despite being pitted against some of the enemies strongest forces, are gaining the upper hand. I will therefore present myself at your camp this evening.

Your reports of the wenches and the make-shift trapeze are intriguing, and I await this curious form of entertainment with some anticipation. I will be able to bring some tomato wine that comes highly recommended (at least, while here at the front), by my commanding officer, the most highly respected the esteemed Lieutenant Colonel Chretien du Penmarch (CdP). I shall also bring my trusty rapier, which, as you shall see, is showing some wear and tear from the hours of practice put in, in preparation for my encounter with Major Doutron (JBD).

I look forward to seeing you, cher Alain, and I thank you for your continued support.

Ton ami

Henri (HSE)
