Gentlemen,
Congratulations on your fine performance during the month of July in the
defense of France and for the glory of His Majesty. I would take a moment
and recognize our new commander, Colonel Comte le Vair, who has taken over
for Brigadier General de l'Aubergine. Also I wish to mention the names of
those who were promoted and mentioned, especially one of the new members of
the regiment and newly promoted, Major le Sournois and the mentioned
Subaltern de Noir.
Again, congratulations on the fine effort and I look forward to an even
better result in August. Which, for I am sure you will all be more than
joyous for, will be our last month at the front til the winter campaigns,
unless the commander or headquarters has other need for us.
