Let me be the first to welcome you to the King's Musketeers.  However,
apparently, you may need to wait til next month for the Major position to
open up as Major of your battalion refused to retire til next month.  Alas,
what can you do?  He has been a fine solider for the King and France and
therefore if he wishes to retire next month so be it.
