Minister of State Duc Axel von Fersen,
Congratulations on your appointment. While you and I have differed on
some matters in the past, I am confident that you will provide the kind of
leadership that will help France. Although I am continuing to pursue my
military career, it is past time that I began to understand the workings of
government. Would you be willing to grant me one of the non-portfolio
ministries that I may begin observing and lend some of my perspective to
your government?
I trust that you and my friend le Duc Alain de Mylcandonai will be
able to work together. I have not spoken to him with regard to his plans,
but I would be pleased if he were able to participate in the government
with your. Your differing perspectives would benefit the country in their
combination. Do you think it would be sensible for him to speak to his
Majesty about the position you most recently held of Minister of War?
