Majors,
Yes, I would be more than happy to see the entire regiment out on the field
as we have some new recruits both officer and foot solider to shake out.
However, considering it is both Christmas time and the scuttle-butt from
above has a major winter campaign in the making, I would ask that you
refrain til further plans are revealed. This is especially true with a new
Minister of War in office... a cavalry man at that. If no offensive is
announced, I will be more than willing to see that the three battalions are
taken to the front come January.
