      It appears that Rascle beat me to the punch in announcing our intent
to take the troops under our command to the front next month. He speaks of a
training exercise but I had envisioned a scouting expedition by light cavalry
units to assess the enemy's weakest points for the Summer campaign. Perhaps I
should say no more  as to our true intent, as I may already have said too
much.  We humbly beseech you to look favorably upon our efforts in support of
our King. We will complete our plans at Col. Marseile's soiree.
