Dear General:
      I write to request to take my unit to the front for the next 1 to 2 months to properly drill them and scout for the possible Summer Campaign hinted at in official correspondence. The troops, and I, need some battle experience prior to a major campaign. Please accept this half case of varietal red from my Father's estate. It has been properly laid down and cellared. It should be at its peak over the next 18 months.
