A thousand pardons for such a thoughtless gaffe!
I must have failed to clean this dreadful dust
out of my ears. Who would believe a land with
so many rivers, streams, and canals could have
so much dust in it.
As you instructed, I attempted to contact the
Captain le Vicomte d'Jour and Captain le Chevalier
de la Vega. I have had no success. They are
both out of camp, leading detachments of their
troops on patrol. I will continue to try to
contact them and convey your request.
