Custaad

Dear Coward,

Congratulations to your first and quite successful
month as CO at the battle field. And I am very happy
for you that Le Roi noticed your actions and you got a
well-deserved title.

Now to more urgent matter, those of Captains d'Jour
and de la Vega. I to was quite surprised when it come
to my attention that my two fellow squadron leaders
were two totally incompetent "desk" officers sent out
to the front direct from some administrative services
in Paris with absolutely no battle experience at all.
We should be very grateful that they did not create a
disaster at the battlefield and my guess is that it
was only because of our good and competent subordinate
officers that two thirds of our fine regiment were not
wiped out. I think that these two gentlemen should
resign their commands immediately.

I have no explanation why Captains d'Jour and de la
Vega did not become promoted to Majors. I hope that
they have good reasons because I spent a lot of time
and energy at the barracks bringing them up to
tactical readiness. I hope that Subaltern d'Or will
clear things up quick.

Kind regards,
Louis
