I have been charged by BBG le Marquis de Custaad,
commanding officer of our regiment, to inquire as
to the reasons that you, the senior Captains of
this regiment, failed to take up the responsibilities
of the rank of Major, leaving the commands of two
squadrons of this regiment to be taken up by less
experienced officers. BBG le Marquis de Custaad had
written to you both, asking that you take on this
grave responsibility, and had expected that you
would do so gladly, knowing you both to be seasoned
and capable officers.
