Gentlemen, As you may be aware, I had intended to appoint Major Zilvain as my aide at the beginning of June. It seems, however, that the Major has now decided to pursue his governmental, rather than military, career, with the result that I am now compelled to seek alternative candidates. I would request that any who are interested in the prestigious position of aide to the General commanding the First Army [which has a death modifier of +4, at least one better than can be gained in any regiment] contact me privately at their earliest convenience. The military ability of any candidates is completely immaterial - even the most basic grasp of army administrative procedures would be a vast improvement on the current state of affairs.
