actually openly speculating that His Majesty is being blackmailed."
[Sound of brandy coming out of someone's nose]
"Preposterous! That's suggesting both that there's something for
which HRM could be blackmailed, and that HRM would submit to it. Even de
Mylcandonai isn't stupid enough to commit treason twice in one sentence!"
"Apparently so. If he keeps this up, even being HRM's son-in-law
won't keep de Mylcandonai's neck off the block."
