Hi

I've tested the new version of missing agent part one,

Thx for the feedback :)

I've pushed a new version on my branch, if someone can playtest it or Xav you can (re)(re)test it, it'd be very useful. I played quite a lot with the input of text in the chat by the player, it works well I think.

Comments:

- It's very verbose, especially at the start when it explains lots of
things at once

It's less verbose, but maybe still too much... let me know.

I thought it was about this one, and it got me
excited! I think it showed that it is nice when you get to discover some
extra information/story during your research, not only exactly what the
guy on the chat asks : )

Definitely, and it's really cool if this extra information is used in the mission. The difficulty is to guide the player in the chat but not too much, so that he has surprises when he searches on the web. I'll be happy to try to implement that in another mission.

- Need to improve searching: speed (loading of intermediate pages),
history, seeing the results page instead of feeling lucky (=> to speed
up search, maybe load the websites in a window instead of in the
background? That could also give more the feeling of playing on a Web
Desktop/OS)

Good idea, it would make things a lot smoother. It's already better though than before, thanks to the optimization you did on the speed.

- Maybe add more intermediate steps to make it more interactive: one
that looks for the painting/painter name in the URL, then only ask a
specific page. With intermediary rewards it would keep me more motivated

I tried to do this, yes. I've also added some possible help at each step.

- Hard to find the page itself.
http://hackit.local/gt/u/www.getty.edu/art/gettyguide/artObjectDetails?artobj=145
seemed the right one at first. I also had a lot of trouble trying to
find the right wikipedia page (that you were mentioning), etc. We're
still missing something here I think.

I reworked that part, let me know.

- "Our agent, could he be at the MoMa at that time ? Yes or no ?" =>
made me look at the page itself

I changed that part too.

- Can you prove it? => I was already on the right page, it should detect
that

Right. There might be an easier way that the one I have in mind, but I'd like to try it : it's to add a custom button and ask the player to click on it when he's reached the page. It would be a way for me to add this button feature. I'll try that.

- It's not clear that we reach the end of the mission - I had to check
the source.

yes, I've added a placeholder for that... it's really a placeholder for the time being though :)
