Hi,

Today I've had lunch with Karen - she is a very experienced story
writer, she worked with David & I in the past on a MMO (Ryzom) and since
then to various projects including Ankama (Dofus, Wakfu). She is also
very talented, so I've tried to see if there is something on which we
could work together, to see how it would go.

We discussed the possibility for her to work on the overall storyline,
to help refine and develop some of the concepts we have been discussing
or experimenting lately. I don't know yet if or how this would work,
though, we didn't completely discussed the specifics.

So before seeing her again, I'd like your opinion. David, Alex -- since
you both worked on the storyline, would you mind if we bring an extra
pair of hands? Everyone -- do you think it's a good time to work on the
storyline?

Also, there is the question of the format of Karen's potential
contribution. The usual format is writing a full "bible", giving all the
context, characters, events, etc. However this doesn't fit well with our
iterative process, writing a full bible now would likely result in
having to throw away most of it the next time we get players to give
feedback on the game. So Karen talked about writing a kind of "modular
bible", that would contain general principles and some elements, but
that would be able to survive concept changes. Opinions or ideas
welcomed on that point!

Xavier.
