Hi Chad,

I'm a long-time fan of boardgamegeek.com, and when we started thinking about the advertising of Card Stories, our first game, I thought it would be a very good fit to do a sponsored contest with you.

How does it work for the sponsored contests ? What are the costs ?

A few words on our game - Card Stories is a card game, reminiscent of Dixit, but as a Web game. cf http://cardstories.org/ (step by on farsides.com/chat if you want to test it, we haven't started communicating yet so you won't get any players to play with you otherwise : ) )

We are really eager to engage players and work with them on improving the game, so the contest could be related to the creation of a new deck of cards for the game for example. Participants would provide ideas for cards concepts, we would select some of the propositions, and the winners would get their card idea being drawn and added to the game.

Btw, a few words about us: we're a free software video game studio (Card Stories is released under the AGPL), adopting all the good principles from free software, including full transparency (if the players want to join the "internal" discussion, they can : ) ). http://farsides.com/

Btw, congratz for the work you do on boardgamegeek!

NB: I've cc'ed the studio's public mailing-list, [email protected], to keep
everyone involved in the loop. If you'd rather discuss privately, let me know.
