Hi Kerry, Thanks a lot! I tend to agree with you, HackIt has a unique and interesting concept behind it yep :p
And it's true that there is still a lot of work. There are a lot of discussions about its future at the moment, and there are already a few steps that have been planned already. If you are interested I could tell you more about it, and even show you a few design documents - it would be interesting to know what you think. But in a nutshell, the next major milestone will add missions to the game - the idea is to use a bit more the content of the Web. For example, you could get asked to find an information for someone, and have to hack a particular website that you have to discover by yourself... Modifying the websites is definitely something that seems important for a lot of people (myself included : ) ). I agree it would be *very* cool to be able to go to the homepage of the Washington Post and add an article about how David (one of the project founders) was late to wake up this morning. :D The only thing is that I'm not sure how this would fit into the gameplay at the moment, so it's still something that need more thinking... If you have ideas, they are really welcomed! And btw, sorry for the bug in the game - it's linked to the latest version (the one including the leaderboard) that hasn't been fleshed out completely yet. I've rolled back the live version of the game to the previous version, it seems to have fixed the bug. If this were to happen again in the future, don't hesitate to send an email to [email protected] - I will see it (along with the rest of the project contributors & developers), and someone will take care of fixing it. : ) Thanks again for your answer, and glad to count you as one of the first players of the game.
