Hi all, last Friday i had time to dig deeper into that problem with a collogue and we figured out that the storages isn't the problem. The problem was and is the network. Yes we have GBit trunks but with such an large network (scattered on 4 buildings) with 3 hops to backup to backup system and many nuisance hosts the network performance will slow down.
Maybe i can do further test and presenting it to you but for today our solution is a separated connection without an switch with jumbo frames to get the maximum out of 10 GBit.
