Where is this documented?

Have you tried if it works?

So setting this for all drives will get me stuck in a "no drive will be used
> automaticly for backups" situation?

If you set it for all drives of course no drive will be left for backup.

You should **only** set it **for the broken drive**.

Ok, will you send a patch that implements what you want, or do you have a 
budget to get it implemented?
