Strange, so you may try to run bareos-sd as user bareos with a higher debug 
level, eg.
su -s /bin/bash - bareos
/usr/sbin/bareos-sd -f -d 300

What type is your gluster volume, distributed or replicated?

Did you add
  option rpc-auth-allow-insecure on
to /etc/glusterfs/glusterd.vol on all your gluster nodes?
