It was more like an impression and not hard fact, pardon :)

When I discovered bareos project, years ago it stated that releases would be 
more frequent, quarterly based and in the beginning releases were following 
this schedule. Nightly builds for branch 15.x can't be called nighty as for 
example win package is updated in May :)

I actually though that war was over and the primary maintainer of Bacula 
promised more frequent releases. I guess that this statement was more for to 
calm down project users who were getting bit nervous about slow updates to 
community codebase.

So, everything with bareos is on track and usest should not worry about the 
nearest future of this project. Good to know :)
