I have two servers running Director. The second on uses Storage on the first.

If you do not need to distinguish between your tapes then one pool is fine. I have three pools, Daily Weekly Monthly. My tapes are labeled AD AW AF. Separate pools do allow for Job and File retention options per pool and allow for better recycling. No need to have Daily tapes last as long as your monthly tapes. > 5) Any other hints/optimizations I should care about when adding many clients? Other then a second server I do not back up any of my other computers, around 35, through Bareoa/Bacula. Important information is stored on a shared network drive from the main server.
