Hi, we suddenly have an issue when writing to the LTO5 drive in our Quantum Superloader3. Writing EOF with 'mt' and doing tar backups directly to tape are working. So the drive seems to be ok. I did not change the bareos sd config in the last time so I am clueless what cases the error. Test with btape says the following:
root@backupsrv:/etc/bareos# btape -c sd.conf /dev/tape/by-id/scsi-300e09e60001ce196-nst Tape block granularity is 1024 bytes. btape: butil.c:274-0 Using device: "/dev/tape/by-id/scsi-300e09e60001ce196-nst" for writing. btape: btape.c:487-0 open device "lto5-drive" (/dev/tape/by-id/scsi-300e09e60001ce196-nst): OK *test === Write, rewind, and re-read test === I'm going to write 10000 records and an EOF then write 10000 records and an EOF, then rewind, and re-read the data to verify that it is correct. This is an *essential* feature ... 13-Sep 14:25 btape JobId 0: Error: block.c:630 Write error at 0:0 on device "lto5-drive" (/dev/tape/by-id/scsi-300e09e60001ce196-nst). The tape device is properly configured in bareos-sd.conf. And it has also ever worked, so I do not see what could have changed. Thanks for any help in advance.
