Hi, I would ask you for your recommendations regarding the config of pools, volumes, storage daemon, director daemon for the following scenario: - multiple clients (= dedicated server) - each client has a fast network connection to a storage / file server - each client runs a (single) database with unique identifier - for each database data backup and log backup must be created
I don't want the clients to transfer their backups to the Bareos server and then store the backups via Bareos server. Instead the clients should make usage of the fast network connection and store the backups directly on the file server. Would it be sufficient to run a storage daemon on every client? And how many pools and volumes do you recommend to configure? There's a full DB backup running on the clients once a week, log backups are running every hour.
