Doesn't seem like a stoopid question at all, especially as I think you
are right.

I did that so that when I use BAT (which is infrequently) the pretty bar
graphs show how full the tapes are. With out that setting BAT doesn't
know how large the tapes are.

But you are right, if Bareos can fit 2530 GB on the tape, that setting
shorts me of the 30 GB.
