Hi,
I want clients to register themselves into the director,
Currently the director has a list with clients loaded with:
@|"find /etc/bareos/bareos-dir.d/clients -name '*.conf' -type f -exec echo @{}
\;"
@|"find /etc/bareos/bareos-dir.d/storages -name '*.conf' -type f -exec echo @{}
\;"
We own about 1300 virtual linux hosts, we want to backup around 100(multiple)
hosts.
But the challenge is that it is a very dynamic environment, where the hosts
names and ip's change often.
It is not a problem to install the clients only on the hosts, that needs a
backup. But the problem is that these clients need to be known with the
directory.
As I understand right now: The directory sends a command to the file deamon and
not the other way around.
Is this possible?
