Hello

Thank you Dan for your answer.

I note that I have not been clear for the description of my problem. Sorry.
Currently I backup all my servers with this configuration
- 1 backup = 1 server = 1 job = 1 volume = 1 file on the disk
- retention volume = retention file = retention job

So when a job expires, my file on the disk is erased.
My problem that I noticed is that the expiration status of the job is updated
when it is executed.

So when I backup twice a week (with a 6-day retention) a server with 2TB of
data for example, Bareos makes 3 backups (6 TB of used disk space) before
deleting the oldest backup.

I expected that everyday, bareos updated the status (purge, use and so on ..)
of all its jobs.

If my observation is correct, is it possible to run jobs without making backup
(for example do a job test without making a backup)? This running would just
update the status of the job without making any backup on my disks.

Thank you in advance for your help

Regards Knoax
