I just upgraded my laptop (Thinkpad T43, 2687D3U) yesterday and
recompiled the RPMs just now without rebooting, and get the same
problem as you and the Feisty people. Charge indicator flashes, lsusb
-v says it's at 500mA, but I get no charging indicator from the
handset and no USB mounting....unless....

I unplugged the device and plugged it back in, and I get the charging
indicator, and my disk mounted just fine. I then did a 3rd
unplug/plug, and it worked fine like the 2nd one. I just now rebooted
in an effort to reproduce it and can't! The first plug charge
indicator worked as normal, but no USB mount (which is what happened
with FC6 as well, used to this quirk). The 2nd plug charge indicator
and USB mount is fine.

Something's strange... have you tried rebooting since installing the
FC7-built barry RPMs?
