When you ran msynctool and expected the contacts to transfer, did they appear in the msynctool output? i.e. as "ADDED" or something You may need to delete your msynctool sync config and recreate it, or try the slow sync option, to force a transfer of records that are marked clean. If this doesn't work, you'll want to create an empty directory, and set the environment variable OSYNC_TRACE to that directory, and see what's going on behind the scenes.
