If you grab the latest and greatest CVS tree, the patch has been merged.  So
you shouldn't have to worry about doing the merge yourself.  I grabbed the
latest and greatest CVS tree as of yesterday and everything compiled just
fine.  I am still unable to connect, but it is not due to the password issue
- my problem is that it is not getting an ip address.  This is the problem
being worked within a different thread on the mailing list - Problem with
