I tried to tell them to use well defined, auto created data points via
HAL and other services infrastructures. I even created a bunch of fdi
files for windows mobile and barry to show how it could be done.

I was ignored.

Apparently editing text configs is better than having automatic device
endpoint control via another sub-system.

If you want to re-suggest the idea, perhaps this time they will be able
to adapt their new branches.
