after running ./configure I caught this:

 ./configure: line 17308: AM_ICONV: command not found

The tarball was created with the following commands

git clone git://repo.or.cz/barry.git
cd barry/maintainer
./git-extract.sh 0 15 master
(cd build/barry* && ../../tar-prepare.sh)
(cd build && ../tar-create.sh 0 15)
