Hi, I would agree to run the modemtest.rb program and post the results. Also, edit the 'pty "/usr/sbin/pppob"' line in /etc/ppp/peers/barry-chinamobile to use:
pty "/usr/sbin pppob -vl /tmp/pppob.log" And post the log file. - Chris On Thu, Jul 02, 2009 at 04:07:39PM +0800, Ryan Li wrote: > Hi Juveen, > > Maybe you should run modemtest.rb program, placed under /contrib of the > git repository, and see what the output looks like. > AT+CGDCONT is an AT command that defines PDP context, the parameter 1 > specifies the number of context to define, the parameter "IP" specifies > to use Internet Protocol, and "cmnet"(China Mobile Network) is the name > of the APN. > Some information can be found at these two places: > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT_commands > http://developer.sonyericsson.com/getDocument.do?docId=65054 > > Different handsets have their respective commands, but they share the > most common ones.
