I have a new Karmic issue, If I start my desktop with my Blackberry 8300 connected, I get the following error (screenshot attached) hal-blackberry closed unexpectedly.
I did a quick grep of /var/log/ -R for hal-blackberry with no luck; Assuming this must be some sort of hal/udev/barry thing. barrybackup, etc appear to work fine, so I am not quite sure what the issue here. Apport bails saying barry is not ubuntu supported, so I assume this really does lie within the barry config portion of udev/hal. Repeated when I removed my battery and re-pluged. I tried to repeat again by replugging only which interestingly enough caused my device to reboot. The crash seems inconsistent on the repeated re-plugging based on apport not popping up, and I have not tried accepting mass.storage password prompt as a workaround. Next reboot I will try to avoid the crash by accepting mass storage prompt and report back if that is a workaround.
