Hi I have two PC's that run Fedora 12 x86_64. On one I have installed Barry from the Fedora 12 repo. The packages installed are:
barry-0.17-0.1.20100329git.fc12.x86_64 barry-libs-0.17-0.1.20100329git.fc12.x86_64 barry-opensync-0.17-0.1.20100329git.fc12.x86_64 When I plug the Blackberry Bold 9700 into the PC WITH Barry, there is no drive presented which I can mount. When I plug the device into the PC WITHOUT Barry, then the drive is detected and auto-mounted. When I plug in the Blackberry I get a message asking: Do you want to turn on Mass Storage Mode? You might not be able to access some media files in this mode. Below is the output of /var/log/messages for WITH Barry: > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: new high speed USB device using > ehci_hcd and address 12 > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: New USB device found, idVendor=0fca, > idProduct=8004 > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, > Product=5, SerialNumber=3 > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: Product: RIM Composite Device > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: Manufacturer: Research In Motion > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: SerialNumber: > 29763AB712AB26C0E9D4E8053C433BFF5ED02A85 > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: scsi8 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage > devices > May 2 21:37:05 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: usbfs: interface 1 claimed by > usb-storage while 'bcharge' sets config #1 > May 2 21:37:06 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: reset high speed USB device using > ehci_hcd and address 12 > May 2 21:40:01 fedora kernel: usb 1-8: USB disconnect, address 12 Below is the output of /var/log/messages for WITHOUT Barry: > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: usb 2-1: new high speed USB device using > ehci_hcd and address 3 > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: usb 2-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0fca, > idProduct=8004 > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: usb 2-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, > Product=5, SerialNumber=3 > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: usb 2-1: Product: RIM Composite Device > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: usb 2-1: Manufacturer: Research In Motion > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: usb 2-1: SerialNumber: > 29763AB712AB26C0E9D4E8053C433BFF5ED02A85 > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: Initializing USB Mass Storage driver... > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: scsi5 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage > devices > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: usbcore: registered new interface driver > usb-storage > May 2 21:40:50 lvd-pc kernel: USB Mass Storage support registered. > May 2 21:40:52 lvd-pc kernel: btusb_intr_complete: hci0 urb ffff880094b40f00 > failed to resubmit (1) > May 2 21:40:52 lvd-pc kernel: btusb_bulk_complete: hci0 urb ffff8800949b5cc0 > failed to resubmit (1) > May 2 21:40:52 lvd-pc kernel: btusb_bulk_complete: hci0 urb ffff880094b40180 > failed to resubmit (1) > May 2 21:40:55 lvd-pc kernel: scsi 5:0:0:0: Direct-Access RIM > BlackBerry SD 0003 PQ: 0 ANSI: 4 CCS > May 2 21:40:55 lvd-pc kernel: sd 5:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg2 type 0 > May 2 21:40:55 lvd-pc kernel: sd 5:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk > May 2 21:41:28 lvd-pc kernel: sd 5:0:0:0: [sdb] 31326208 512-byte logical > blocks: (16.0 GB/14.9 GiB) > May 2 21:41:28 lvd-pc kernel: sd 5:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write > through > May 2 21:41:28 lvd-pc kernel: sd 5:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write > through > May 2 21:41:28 lvd-pc kernel: sdb: sdb1 > May 2 21:42:15 lvd-pc gnome-keyring-daemon[1919]: removing removable > location: /media/11D6-0E9A > May 2 21:42:15 lvd-pc gnome-keyring-daemon[1919]: no volume registered at: > /media/11D6-0E9A > May 2 21:42:32 lvd-pc kernel: usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 3 What else can I give you to help solve this?
