Yeah, either a fail, or the device needs to be replugged.

At least it is starting to work! :-)
I wonder if getting the drive to mount at least once does something to
the firmware to let it keep mounting? Something further to test:
- bounce the BlackBerry, perhaps pull the battery
- reboot system, with bcharge in normal location
- see if it mounts and grabs databases
If it doesn't mount, try moving bcharge, mounting, and moving bcharge back.
If this works, then try:
- bounce the BlackBerry again
- reboot system, without bcharge
- plugin, mount the drive
- run bcharge manually as root after a 1 minute wait
