When forcing the virtualenv to use python 2.6 and then install everyting again
all seems to work just fine.

Are there any know issues when using python 2.6 instead of python 2.7 on Debian?

apt-get install python2.6-dev -y

cd /home/baruwa
virtualenv -p /usr/bin/python2.6 --distribute px
source px/bin/activate

I guess I found the issue, (now searching for the solution)

When starting uwsgi is shows:

Python version: 2.6.8 (unknown, Jan 29 2013, 10:23:48)  [GCC 4.7.2]

So it is using python 2.6, but /home/baruwa/nx python home is created with
python 2.7

Yep that is installed:

# pip freeze | grep -i paste

Paste==1.7.5.1

PasteDeploy==1.5.0

PasteScript==1.7.5
